This book explores the biblical drama of rebellion and restoration,

tracing the story from Eden to the New Creation. At its core,

it interprets Adam’s fall in connection with the heavenly rebellion,

showing that sin is not merely a human act but an ontological revolt—

the departure from the dwelling God assigned to His creatures.


Through this theological-literary approach,

the book unveils the cosmic battle of angels, Satan, and those who dwell in the shadow,

as well as the divine order that brings redemption.


At the heart of this study lies the biblical concept of the "dwelling."

Sin is understood as the departure from the ontological place assigned by God,

while redemption is the restoration of that lost dwelling.


The first part highlights how the Trinitarian order of love, obedience,

and delegated authority extends into the creation of angels and humanity,

interpreting the fall as a departure from divine order.

The second part re-reads Eden as a temple-like dwelling, viewing Adam’s failure

not merely as disobedience but as the collapse of his ontological position.

It then unfolds the redemptive journey of restoration in Christ.


Especially through Ephesians, redemption is portrayed not as a narrow juridical declaration

but as the ontological reconstruction of humanity into God’s dwelling.


This book integrates biblical theology, literary structure,

and systematic reflection, inviting readers to see salvation not simply as personal rescue

but as the cosmic re-establishment of the dwelling of God.

 — 존재론적 반역과 회복의 성경 신학 서사 성경은 인간의 이야기만을 말하지 않는다. 그 배후에는 보이지 않는 세계, 곧 하나님을 섬기는 천사들과 하나님을 대적하는 사탄의 이야기가 함께 흐르고 있다. 그리고 그 사이에서 살아가는 인간의 이야기가 성경의 큰 서사를 이룬다. 『천사와 사탄 그리고 그늘에 앉은 자』는 이 보이지 않는 세계와 인간의 이야기를 하나의 성경적 구조 안에서 다시 읽어 보려는 시도이다. 이 책은 천사와 사탄을 단순한 신비적 존재로 설명하는 데서 멈추지 않고, 창조와 타락, 그리고 구속의 흐름 속에서 그들의 역할을 성경 전체의 맥락 속에서 추적한다. 특히 이 책은 인간의 상태를 설명할 때 두 가지 언어를 구분한다. 성경은 인간을 “죄인”이라고 부르지만, 그것은 하나님 앞에서의 법정적 신분 을 가리키는 말이다. 그러나 복음서는 또 다른 표현을 사용한다. 인간은 “어두움과 죽음의 그늘에 앉은 자”이다. 이 표현은 단순한 비유가 아니라, 하나님으로부터 멀어진 인간의 현상적이고 실존적인 상태 를 드러내는 언어이다. 이 책은 바로 이 지점에서 질문을 시작한다. 왜 인간은 “그늘에 앉은 자”가 되었는가? 그 답을 찾기 위해 성경의 이야기는 하늘에서 시작된다. 천사의 창조와 그들 가운데 일어난 반역, 그리고 사탄의 등장. 그 후 에덴에서 아담에게 위임된 사명과 그의 실패가 이어진다. 성경의 타락 이야기는 단순한 규칙 위반의 사건이 아니라, 하나님이 세우신 질서와 처소를 떠난 존재론적 반역 으로 읽힌다. 따라서 구속 역시 단순한 죄 사함으로 끝나지 않는다. 성경이 말하는 구속은 하나님이 거하실 처소를 다시 세우는 일 , 곧 인간 존재가 새롭게 지어져 가는 과정이다. 그리스도 안에서 시작된 구속은 사람을 다시 하나님께 나아갈 수 있는 존재로 세우며, 함께 하나님의 처소로 지어져 가게 한다. 이 책은 천사, 사탄, 인간, 그리고 그리스도를 따로따로 설명하지 않는다. 대신 이 모든 이야기를 하나의 흐름 속에서 묶어, 성경이 말하는 타락과 구속의 서사 를 새...
